Washed-up Hollywood producer Sonny Wexler (Reynolds) prefers to reminisce about his past success than raise the money to option a hot script and get back in the game. Maybe he should stick with his memories, since Sonny hooks up with a shady businessman who expects a guaranteed return on his investment--or else.
