That's "Mike" as in basketball legend Michael Jordan--or at least his basketball shoes. A pair of old shoes, supposedly once belonging to Jordan, is donated to an orphanage and ending up the property of teen Calvin (Bow Wow). The shoes give him super skills on the basketball court, and he wins a chance to play spoiled star Tracey (Chestnutt) during halftime of a game. Impressed, the coach (Forster) signs Calvin to the fictional L.A. Knights. The hoops story is merely window dressing, however, because most of the story revolves around the efforts of Calvin and fellow orphans Murph (Lipnicki) and Reg (Song) to get adopted. NBA players Gary Payton, Alonzo Mourning, Rasheed Wallace, and Jason Kidd make appearances.
