King of the Jungle Movie Review 2001

Contrived story with an energized performance by Leguizamo. He's Seymour, a mentally challenged man with the intellectual and emotional capacity of a preadolescent. He lives with his long-divorced Puerto Rican mother Mona (Carmen) and her lover Joanne (Perez). His dad, Jack (Gorman), is a deadbeat poet who has never accepted his son's limitations. Seymour spends his time on the streets playing basketball until his mother is fatally shot and he wants revenge.
