Vacas Movie Review 1991

The political and social climate of the Basque region of Spain is frequently dangerous but the region's cows (the "vacas" of the title) placidly continue as always despite what happens to the humans around them. Covering more than 50 years, from 1875 through the Spanish Civil War, the lives of two families are interwined in emotional conflict through three generations. Spanish with subtitles.
