Marian (Unger) and John (Harris) Kerr are hosting a weekend for family and friends at their upstate New York home to remember John's half-brother Tony (Sweeney) who died of AIDS a year before. Gathered are Tony's lover Lyle (Conrad) and his new boyfriend Robert (Duval) as well as neighbors Laura (Rowlands) and her daughter Nina (Shields). Turns out that mostly everybody was enamored of Tony and some unpleasant truths come out after too much wine. Good cast in a very gabby drama. Based on the novel by Peter Cameron.
