Continues the story of lion expert George Adamson, told previously in "Born Free" and "Living Free." Tony Fitzjohn (Michie) takes what he thinks will be a temporary job with Adamson (Harris) and his brother Terence (Bannen) in Kenya in the 1980s. The brothers are running a private wildlife preserve that rehabilitates zoo lions for life in the wild. Tony is naturally wary of his new employment and his curmudgeonly new employers but comes to value them all, even falling in love with anthropologist Lucy (Fox) who's working with the local tribes. Has some disturbing violence (both animal and human).
