Two gay shorts explore first love. In "First Love" (50 minutes), Hong Kong college student Mark begins an English lit course with a stern British professor, Hugh Graham. Depressed by creative burnout, Hugh is flattered by Mark's attentions and they have a one-nighter--at least in Hugh's mind because Mark is looking for a longer-lasting romance. Cantonese and English with subtitles. In "One of Them" (47 minutes), two gay teens in the 60s strike up a friendship that makes their small, boring town almost bearable.
