Troubled 13-year-old Talia (Touly) takes her pitbull Kim and runs away from her brutal stepfather. She hangs out in the projects with a group of boys her own age whom she warily befriends, only to be victimized when they steal and sell Kim to a dogfighting ring. Despite their denials, Talia knows what they did, even when they promise to help her rescue the dog. Kids, who are non-professionals, do fine but the story meanders it's way to a predictable ending. French with subtitles.
