Stockboker Ryan Turner (Sheen) loses all his money on a bad stock tip and decides to ghostwrite his ex-girlfriend's (Richards) lame newspaper advice column. Suddenly the column is hot and the newspaper's publisher (Harmon) is showing interest in more than newsprint.
