Combining the best of blaxploitation and horror elements, Dickerson smartly reveals the story of benevolent pimp Jimmy Bones'(Snoop Dogg) disappearance and subsequent resurrection 22 years later as a vengeful spirit. When an entreprenuerial buppie (Kain) decides to open a dance hall in Jimmy's former digs, walls begin oozing, animals become abundant and mean, and old secrets are revealed, much to the chagrin of the kid's rich father (Davis), and a cop (Weiss). Grier shines as a neighborhood psychic, and Snoop adds miles of style and presence, keeping this one a notch above the standard-issue haunted house fare.
