Dracula: The Dark Prince Movie Review 2001

Costume bio on the life of Vlad the Impalder AKA Vlad Dracula (Martin). In the 15th century, Vlad and his brother are captured by the Turkish sultan who rules over their native Romania. During their captivity, the boys' father (the country's regent) is killed and when Vlad returns home years later he seeks to expel the Turks and rule himself. But his dreams of a unified country are undermined by tragedy and his own brutality.
