Eight Legged Freaks Movie Review 2002

Attack of the B-Movie Redos! Boy (Arquette) meets girl (Wuhrer) and battle giant mutant spiders in this updated 1950s sci-fi horror/comedy. Prosperity, Arizona is the unlikely site of a toxic waste mishap near a spider farm, spawning SUV-sized creepy crawlies. Slow-witted but sweet local boy Arquette joins forces with foxy sheriff Wuhrer and a posse of locals to rid the town of the huge spideys. Scary, campy, self-parodying fun. Director Elkayem gives props to the '50s horror cult classic, "Them!" which plays in the background of one scene.
