Parents should be warned that Adam Sandler's foray into animated holiday fare is more for the big kids than the tiny tots. When eyes are aglow, it's usually the bloodshot peepers of party animal Davey Stone (voiced by Sandler), who harbors a grudge against the holiday season. After he goes on a spree of booze-soaked vandalism, the judge is about to throw the book at Davey until Whitey, the ref of a youth basketball league, intercedes for him. Davey proceeds to torment Whitey and his sister Eleanor (both also voiced by Sandler) until the last act less-than-believably transforms him into a good guy. At turns offensive and interesting, this foul-mouthed cartoon does manage to set a record for animated product placement.
