The Guardian Movie Review 2000

Uninspired actioner finds Marine John Kross (Van Peebles) witnessing some freaky stuff during Desert Storm. He winds up in the hospital with a strange map carved on his chest. Flash-forward 12 years and Kross is an L.A. cop chasing down some new street drug that's made from a mystery powder from Iraq. And then there's something about a demon, a young prophet who needs protection, and his guardian who is Kross of course. Who cares.
