Dinner with Friends Movie Review 2001

The main course is a look at the meaning of love, marriage, and friendship, with a heaping side of mid-life angst. Happily married couple Gabe (Quaid) and Karen (MacDowell) deal with the fallout of the breakup of their friends' marriage. Beth (Collette) shows up at their door after husband Tom (Kinnear) leaves her for another woman. When Gabe and Karen try to help (read: offer their advice), they're met with a less than enthusiastic response.
