Therese Raquin (Nelligan)is a young woman unhappily married to mama's boy Camille (Cranham). She has an affair with Laurent (Cox) and the lovers do away with the inconvenient spouse. But their guilt turns to loathing for each other and haunts them into further acts of betrayal and violence. Based on the novel by Emile Zola.
