The Arena Movie Review 2001

Recently, Roger Corman has been re-making the exploitation pictures he produced in the 1960s and '70s. The results have generally lacked the freshness and verve of the originals. This one is an exception. The Russian production is stylishly filmed and inventively edited. It looks like it cost much more than the Pam Grier version, though the story is just as silly. (Playboy Playmates are cast in the leads.)
