The Son's Room Movie Review 2000

Giovanni (Moretti) is a psychiatrist in a provincial seaside town, with a wife, Paola (Morante), and two teenage children--Irene (Trinca) and Andrea (Sanfelice). Their average lives are suddenly shattered when Andrea dies in a diving accident. The family falls apart and begins to distance themselves from each other and their grief. By accident, Arianna (Vigliar), a casual girlfriend of Andrea's who doesn't know about his death, contacts the family and surprisingly becomes a link to help heal. Italian with subtitles.
