Latif (Abedini) works as a tea boy and cook on a construction site in Iran where many of the other laborers are illegal Afghan emigres. When one of his co-workers is injured, the man's young son, Baran (Bahrami), comes to take his place, although he's too frail to do the job. So Baran takes Latif's place and he must move to a more strenuous job, which he doesn't mind when he discovers that Baran is actually a girl; so Latif begins an awkward courtship while trying to keep her secret. Farsi with subtitles.
