Cute but underwhelming romantic comedy involving time travel. Eccentric scientist Stuart (Schreiber) finds a portal that allows him to visit New York City in 1876. But his presence is noticed by dashing Leopold, the Duke of Albany (Jackman), who unwittingly follows Stuart to present-day Manhattan. The Duke manages the adjustment quite well, especially after meeting business exec Kay McKay (Ryan), Stuart's ex-girlfriend. Kate's more interested in a big promotion than romance, though she finds Leopold charming if strange. Too bad Leopold can't hang around, he has to go back to 1876 but can Kate be persuaded to go with him? This is familiar territory for Ryan (who's more brittle than perky) but Jackman does chivalry with the best of them.
