Based on Vallejo's 1994 autobiographical novel, the film follows Fernando (Jaramillo), an older gay man and a writer who has returned to his hometown of Medellin, Colombia to die. After 30 years away, Fernando discovers a crime-ridden city with drug trafficking, gangs, and violence to be the norm. At a party, Fernando is introduced to 16-year-old street tough Alexis (Ballesteros), who soon moves in with him. But when Alexis's past catches up with him, Fernando seeks the truth in a city of lies. Not for the faint-hearted; Spanish with subtitles.
