The Ponder Heart Movie Review 2001

Eccentric Daniel Ponder (MacNicol) wants to give all his inherited fortune away. So folks in his Mississippi community considered him a mite peculiar, especially after he suddenly marries the teenaged Bonnie Dee (Bettis). Then Bonnie disappears and Ponder is put on trial for the alleged murder of his bride. Easy-going southern charm and smalltown craziness. Based on the novel by Eudora Welty.
