Based on 1942's "Moontide" this updated would-be modern noir suffers from unappealing characters. Dustin Yarma (Lea) is an arrogant, hard-partying Hollywood film exec who wakes up on the beach after a night of debauchery to find that his nameless female companion is dead. Suspicious drifter Minnow (McCallany) says he saw Dustin murder the girl in a drunken rage but will take care of the matter--for a price. The price turns out to be Dustin's life as Minnow moves in on his career and his girlfriend, D'Arcy (Wuhrer). Then Dustin discovers things aren't exactly as they seem. Director Priestley plays the small role of Dustin's buddy Jarred.
