Based on the French legend about the Beast of Gevaudan, a wolf-like creature that killed more than 100 people in the 1760s. In 1765, in a remote province, a mysterious creature is savagely killing women and children throughout the countryside. Naturalist Gregoire de Fronsac (Le Bihan) and his Iroquis blood brother Mani (Dacascos) are sent by King Louis XV to kill and stuff the beast for posterity. But what they finally discover is quite unexpected. Flamboyantly entertaining adventure. French with subtitles.
