Luminous Motion Movie Review 2000

Phillip (Lloyd) is an introspective 10-year-old who spends his life on the road travelling in a red Impala with his mother (Unger), a beautiful, depressed lush who drifts from man to man. But the only male she's really close to is her son--until Phillip's father (Sheridan) finds them and wants to reclaim his family. Except the boundaries between Phillip's reality and his imagination aren't very clear at all. Based on Bradfield's novel "The History of Luminous Motion."
