Saga of rock singer Meat Loaf (Brown), born Marvin Lee Aday, from his dsyfunctional family life to his early musical start and his first success in the '70s with the Top 10 hits from "Bat Out of Hell." Of course, there's also the inevitable decline and resurrection. Brown's a Meat Loaf lookalike and Pfeiffer is good as his loyal wife, Leslie, but this is a very familiar story.
