Love Songs Movie Review 1999

Trilogy of stories all set in the same black neighborhood. "A Love Song for a Champ" concerns boxer Townsend who agrees to throw a fight. "A Love Song for Jean and Ellis" concerns the would-be romance between grocer Braugher and the haughty Whitfield. "A Love Song for Dad" follows bartender Grossett who comes to the aid of his abused sister-in-law.
