Dana Sue Lacey (Matlin) is the deaf campaign manager for a candidate who has just been murdered. When she becomes the prime suspect and goes to trial, attorney Lillian Rose Martin (King) has her work cut out for her since Dana refuses to cooperate. But the past and its secrets cannot stay hidden any longer.
