During the Napoleonic Wars, dashing French officer, Captain Jacques St. Ives (Barr), is captured during battle and sent to a POW camp in the Scottish Highlands that is run by Major Chevening (Grant). St. Ives and the Major become friends but that doesn't mean that he won't try to escape, especially since Jacques has the aid of plucky lassie Flora (Friel). A leisurely paced costume romp.
