Mararia Movie Review 1998

Romantic triangle set amidst the heat and beauty of 1940s island life on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. The newly arrived Dr. Fermin (Gomez) falls under the spell of enticing local beauty Mararia (Toledo), who returns his affections. At least until British surveyor Bertrand (Glen) comes to the island and she changes her mind. This might be a woman's perogative but in Mararia's case, it leads to tragedy for all. Spanish with subtitles.
