If the Prague-based cartoon studio Rembrandt Films is remembered for anything these days, it's for the repellant "Tom and Jerry" shorts it produced for MGM/UA in the 1960s. Forgotten is the impressive if melancholy work included in this collection, most of it directed by Gene Deitch. "Munro," a sharp, hilarious military satire based on a Jules Feiffer story, is easily the highlight. Contents: "Munro," "The Frozen Logger," four "Self-Help" shorts, "Anatole," "Terr'ble Tessie," (series pilot), "Big Sam & Punky" (series pilot), and three "Nudnik" shorts.
