Daniel (Rudolf) and his friend Gyuri (Zsoter) take a train to a small town on the Austrian border, seeking to escape Hungary after the 1956 uprising. Gyuri is a soldier who has deserted and is anxious to get away, but Daniel refuses to leave his missing girlfriend Mariann (Szerb) behind. Hungarian with subtitles.
