Generally faithful but needless TV remake of the 1952 western classic. Stoic marshal Will Kane (Skerritt), having just married the Quaker Amy (Thompson), is about to give up his badge when he learns that outlaw Frank Miller (Madsen) will be coming in on the noon train with revenge on his mind. Everyone thinks Will should just skedaddle out of town and save them all some grief but, hey, he's a hero and has to do what's right!
