As teenagers in Toronto, sisters Jean (Travers) and Colette (Grenon) become infatuated with Yoshi Takahashi (Okuda), a Japanese concert pianist who lived across the street. Ten years later, they have a family reunion in Vancouver and learn Yoshi is giving a concert in the city. Jean is excited to renew their ties but Colette is reluctant--and Jean reveals that she knows her sister and the pianist had a sexual relationship. Is Jean jealous? Or does she plan on establishing her own claims? Based on Ann Ireland's novel "A Certain Mr. Takahashi."
