A film that's a bridesmaid instead of a bride. Mary Fiore (Lopez) is a workaholic wedding planner in San Francisco who has no love life of her own. The driven Mary meets cute with aw-shucks doctor Steve Edison (McConaughey) who, naturally, turns out to be the fiance of Mary latest client, heiress Fran (Wilson). Not that the attractive duo can stay away from each other despite their good intentions. The leads nearly carry the film on charm alone before the script finally lets them down.
