John Carpenter unashamedly fires up his B-movie machine to maximum cheese factor in this tale of space babes and zombies. Henstridge is a police lieutenant on the matriarchal Mars colony in 2025 sent to retrieve murderer "Desolation" Williams (Ice Cube). The job turns from get the bad guy to simple survival when long-dormant Martian warriors begin taking over the bodies of the Earth intruders, turning them into zombies. So do you think the bad guys and the good guys have to team up to win one for the humans? At its best during the action sequences, but probably a bad choice to follow "A Room with a View" for a Saturday night double feature.
