Detached rather than titillating look at sexual obsession. Middleaged, middle-class philosophy prof Martin (Berling) has recently separated from his wife and is dealing (or rather not dealing) with his midlife crisis. Until he meets teenaged artist's model Cecilia (Guillemin) and the two begin a very carnal affair, though Martin thinks his paramour is shallow and stupid. Then he discovers Cecilia also has a lover her own age and she wants to keep them both. In response, Martin turns obsessively jealous. Based on the novel "La Noia" by Alberto Moravia. French with subtitles.
