Visitor rating
4.0 from 0 reviews

Documentary produced by Fox Television and American Movie Classics is a superb introduction to the various ways that the movies have used war. The producers combine newsreel and other actual film with Hollywood studio interpretations of the same and similar events. Their purpose is to show how the two have influenced each other, with an emphasis on propaganda. Clips come from "Wings," " Triumph of the Will," "Guadalcanal Diary," "Apocalypse Now," and several others. Recommended without question to anyone who's interested in war films.
