Madame X: An Absolute Ruler Movie Review 1977

Extravagant postmodern pirate film looks at the male genre for feminist allegory. Follows Madam X--the cruel, uncrowned ruler of the China seas--who promises "gold, love, and adventure" to all women who leave their humdrum lives behind.
