The relationship between filmmaker Werner Herzog and Klaus Kinski is the subject of this documentary. During Herzog's childhood, the extroverted eccentric actor lived in the same house in Munich, leaving remarkable memories in the young man's mind. The film follows them from adolescence to their collaborations in "Nosferatu," "Aguirre," "Fitzcarradlo," and others. Unflinching, raw, and uncensored, the film shows the many sides of Kinski, from the philosophical to the vulgar, and at the same time describes the rather unique working relationship that grew between the two men.
