What's Cooking? Movie Review 2000

Follows the Thanksgiving tradition of feasting amid household tension through the stories of four American families: one Jewish, one Latino, one Vietnamese, and one African American. Culture clashes, generation gaps, sexual identities, divorce, and other family flash points get addressed with sincere writing and delicate acting by all involved. Written by India-born English director Chadha and her Japanese-American husband Berges--you can't more all-American than that.
