This CBS special is a pleasant little stroll down memory lane, though the title is somewhat misleading. It's really about 50 favorite older stars (25 men and 25 women) from the "classic era" (as narrator Shirley Temple Black puts it) who are ranked according to their "popularity and historical context." Ava Gardner and William Holden come in at #25; Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn share #1. Clips of the 50 "classic" stars are introduced by 50 relative whippersnappers.
