Lady Audley's Secret Movie Review 2000

Old-fashioned and rather dull potboiler based on the 1862 novel by Mary Elizabeth Braddon. Governess Lucy (McIntosh) marries her employer, Sir Michael Audley (Cranham). But Lucy has a shady past, including a previous husband, George (Bamber), who turns out to be a friend of Sir Michael's nephew, Robert (Mackintosh). Then George disappears and Robert wonders just how dangerous the new Lady Audley is.
