It's "The Phantom of the Opera" Hong Kong style, although it's a adult fairytale rather than a horror story. In 1936 a theatrical troupe hopes to restore a burned-out opera house for their performances. Legendary singer Sung Dan-Ping (Cheung) was thought to have died in the fire, instead, horribly disfigured, he hides out in the ruins and dreams of his lost love (Chein-Lien). Chinese with subtitles or dubbed.
