Portraits Chinois Movie Review 1996

Uneven romantic drama finds English fashion designer Ada (Bonham Carter) living in Paris with her screenwriter boyfriend Paul (Ecoffey). They have just moved into an apartment together though dissatisfaction looms. Paul's writing parter, Guido (Castellito), has broken up with his girlfriend thus complicating their latest assignment, and Ada's fellow designer Lise (Bohringer) has not only impressed their boss Rene (Brialy) but has fallen for Paul. Various other friends interact and everything breaks apart and re-forms over the course of several months. French with subtitles.
