Morris (Mostel) is an old Jewish man who has lost his faith in God after a series of personal and professional losses. Alexander Levine (Belafonte) is a black angel who can earn his wings if he can convince Morris that his life does have meaning. As sentimental as it sounds but the leads are pros. Based on a story by Bernard Malamud.
