Trina (Driver) is searching for a family heirloom--a box of missing diamonds--that were lost in the Mexican desert when her grandmother died. While she hunts around, the goods have already been discovered by a couple of escaped cons (Spader and Brolin) who take Trina hostage and steal her car. But when her car is disabled, things in the desert start to steam, with Trina trying to play both men against one another so she can make off with the treasure.
