Winter Sleepers Movie Review 1997

Angsty and slow (completely unlike the director's breakthrough "Run Lola Run"). Rebecca (Daniel) is waiting at a mountain chalet for her boyfriend Marco (Ferch) to show up. When Marco leaves his keys in his car, Rene (Matthes) takes it for a joy ride and gets into an accident, eventually meeting Laura (Sellem) the nurse, who owns the chalet. The foursome wind-up together but nothing much matters. Based on the novel "Expense of the Spirit" by Pyszora, who co-wrote the screenplay. German with subtitles.
