Live-action segments show Walt Disney taking a group of his animators, writers, and musicians to visit Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. The locales inspire a series of animated sequences featuring Disney characters. "Lake Titicaca" finds tourist Donald Duck and a stubborn llama trying to cross a rope bridge. "Pedro" is a little mail plane who must fly over the treacherous Andes mountains. "El Gaucho Goofy" finds Goofy trying to emulate the gaucho cowboys with typically hilarious results. "Aquarela do Brasil" finds parrot Jose Carioca showing Donald the sights of Rio and teaching him the samba.
