Cate De Angelo (Parker) is the quirky owner of a failing D.C. vintage clothing store. The youngest in a large Italian/Irish American family, Cate is still trying to deal with her alcoholic mother's death and an ongoing feud with her overbearing father, Dominic (Bosco). She has a reliable relationship with dull Philip (Lansbury) but doesn't realize the passion she's been missing until she meets handsome Harry (Gallagher) the lawyer. Stereotypes abound as do too many subplots but the leads are endearing. Based on Christina Bartolomeo's novel "Cupid and Diana."
